Permits

As of 10/29/24, the current turnaround time for permit approval is as follows:

Temp Heat Permits and Burn permits will be approved within 24-48 hours whenever possible.

Tent Permits and Fireworks Permits will be approved as they come in and before the requested event date.

Plan reviews (sprinkler systems, fire alarm systems, solar panels) : ~ 4 to 6 weeks.

Burn Permit

Burn permits are issued October 1st through May 30th.

Fire Alarm Permit or Sprinkler Permit

Fire Alarm Permits and Sprinkler Permits are completed through either the City of Aspen or Pitkin County, depending on the property's address.
